When my first child was born,
I was gripped by a fear – that this tender baby could stop breathing.
Many mothers perhaps are visited by the same nightmare.
In my case, losing a child became reality.
I could have asked, why me?
But death is not fair.
I’m simply another mom who lost her child
A woman who’s now
At peace
In the land I used to fear
